Refund Policy

When you can get a refund for Versantly products and services. Read together with our Terms of Service.

1. About this policy

This Refund Policy explains when you can get a refund for products and services purchased through versantly.ai. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST; where a refund is given, it includes the GST component.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Where this policy and the ACL conflict, the ACL prevails. Read this together with our Terms of Service.

2. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our products and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. Services must be provided with due care and skill and be fit for any stated purpose; digital products and goods must be of acceptable quality and match their description.

If a product or service has a major failure, you can choose a refund or a replacement, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss. If the failure is minor, we may choose to fix it within a reasonable time rather than provide a refund. These rights apply regardless of any other term in this policy.

3. Free AI Readiness Assessment

The AI Readiness Assessment is free. There is no payment, so there is nothing to refund.

4. AI Proficiency Certification ($149 incl. GST)

What you are buying: the AI Proficiency assessment and unlimited retakes — one attempt every 24 hours — until you pass. The fee covers the assessment and your retakes, not a guaranteed result. A verifiable certificate is issued only when you reach the 70% pass mark; it is never issued on payment alone.

  • The fee is non-refundable. Access to sit the exam is delivered immediately on purchase, and you keep unlimited retakes at no extra cost until you pass, so change-of-mind refunds are not available.
  • Not passing is not a fault in the product and is not grounds for a refund — you can keep retaking at no extra cost.
  • Your ACL guarantees still apply — if the exam is faulty, inaccessible through our fault, or not as described, contact us and we will make it right (see section 2).

5. Live cohort courses

Applies to the Build with AI Weekend Intensive ($997 incl. GST) and the AI Leadership Accelerator ($4,950 incl. GST). Seats are capped at 16 per cohort, so these windows let us manage each cohort fairly. If you cancel:

No-shows and non-completion are not eligible for a refund. If we cancel or reschedule a cohort, you can choose a full refund or a transfer to the next available cohort. Nothing here affects your ACL rights if the course has a major failure.

6. Enterprise engagements (fractional Chief AI Officer)

Enterprise engagements are governed by the individual services agreement and statement of work you sign with us; its refund, cancellation, and termination terms prevail over this policy for enterprise clients. Your ACL rights continue to apply where the law makes them available.

7. How to request a refund

Email hello@versantly.ai with your name, order or enrolment details, and the reason for your request. We will acknowledge within 5 business days and process any approved refund within 10 business days to your original payment method. Refunds are GST-inclusive.

8. Payment disputes and chargebacks

If something has gone wrong, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Raising a chargeback without contacting us may delay resolution while we respond to your payment provider.

9. Changes and contact
